Brooks Douglas Lamb, 86, went home peacefully on May 4th, 2013.  He was born in his family home in Foxwarren, Manitoba April 24, 1927, the second child of four children. 

He is predeceased by his parents; Freeman Lamb and Eleanor Lamb nee Falloon, siblings; Elmer, Murray and MJ and his 2 sons Ken and Russ.  He is loved by many and survived by his wife of 64 years Bernice, his three children; Freeman (Jo Ann), Lonnie (Joyce), Lorri (Michael) and daughter in law Diana, 9 grandchildren; Ashley (Brent), Matthew (Jen), Tim (Jess), Dillon (Chiaki), Clayton (Angela), Becki (Chris), Masen (Leah), Russell and Collin, 4 great grandchildren; Momoko, Lynne, Hawthorne and Anna, and many nieces and nephews.  Brooks was known for his kindness, respectfulness and generosity. 

Brooks was a Mason, a Shriner, a Lion, a Pilot, a Mechanic, a Welder, a Drummer, a Treasure collecter, a Hunter, an all round Sportsman and every hitch hikers dream.  He could fix anything, was a pioneer in road construction, he loved to dance and he threw a great party! 

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Unit 700 at The Bethany Care Centre, Cochrane. 

A celebration of Brooks's life will take place Sunday June 9, 1:30 pm at The Cochrane Ranche House.
